    Get Involved

The SSC focuses on seven categories of sustainability addressing issues of environmental and social justice, which include: energy and waste, water, food, urban development and transportation, public health, corporate accountability and civil and human rights. Each category is led by a director and composed of a team of interns. To get involved, email sscucsd@gmail.com. We also serve as your connection to student organizations and community opportunities. Visit our website to view our affiliated groups and campus departments; feel free to ask an SSC staff member in the SRC about how to join a sustainability effort.

    The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF)

The SSC's The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) provides funding for projects that reduce UC San Diego’s negative impact on the environment and create a more socially responsible campus. Through project grants, the TGIF aims to enable and empower students to become leaders for sustainability. Find out more and apply here.
