WELCOME

The UC San Diego Sustainability Resource Center (SRC) serves as a hub for materials and initiatives related to local, national and global sustainability. The SRC is a partnership between the Sustainability Program Office and the Student Sustainability Collective dedicated to balancing environmental, social and economic stewardship.

Located in the heart of the Price Center, our LEED Gold certified center is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during academic quarters.

The Sustainability Program Office (SPO) operates in an administrative capacity to support campus sustainability initiatives. Representing the entire university, the SPO coordinates major campus sustainability initiatives, such as completing national sustainability surveys and rankings, constructing a campus sustainability database, conducting sustainability tours, updating the Climate Action Plan, facilitating collaboration between students, faculty and staff and coordinating outreach efforts. The SPO offers a range of community and student opportunities. Visit our office in the Sustainability Resource Center to learn more.

The SSC is the official sustainability commission of the UC San Diego Associated Students. We develop campaigns and implement critical campus policies that address the intersection of environmental, social, political and economic factors of sustainability. Visit the SRC, or contact us to find out how to get involved with student-initiated campaigns and programs like Fair Trade Universities, zero-waste, anti-sweatshop labor, local and organic food and The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF).
